DOCTORS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A UNIQUE ID BY THE NATIONAL MEDICAL COMMISSION According to the National Medical Commission's (NMC) new rules, doctors must get a Unique Identification Number (UID) to practice medicine in the nation. The NMC ethics board will centrally create the UID, which would thereafter provide the practitioner registration in NMR and the right to practice medicine in India. 14th May
