1. BANGLADESH RECEIVES 20 BROAD GAUGE LOCOMOTIVES FROM INDIAN RAILWAYS

Indian Railways has sent Bangladesh 20 broad gauge (BG) locomotives to improve bilateral ties. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of railways for India, and Md Nurul Islam Sujan, the minister of railways for Bangladesh, both attended the virtual handing over event that took place at Rail Bhavan.

At BNS Narvik in Chattogram, the joint naval training exercise known as "Tiger Shark 40" started. The exercise's primary goals are to strengthen the strategic capabilities of both nations and to foster knowledge sharing between them in technical and procedural areas.

Asia's president of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Dr. K. Govindaraj, was elected. He is an MLC for Congress. He also serves as the head of the Karnataka Olympic Association and the Indian Basketball Federation. Govindaraj received full support for the position of FIBA Asia President.
