1. FROM 2027, INDIA WILL PARTICIPATE IN GLOBAL CIVIL AVIATION CLIMATE ACTION

India has declared that starting in 2027, it would take part in the Long-Term Aspirational Goals (LTAG) and the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

RAdm Gurcharan Singh, the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet, and the Indian Naval Ships Satpura and Delhi landed in Singapore on May 1st, 2023, to take part in the first ASEAN India Maritime Exercise (AIME-2023).

As the sole tri-services command in India, Air Marshal Saju Balakrishnan assumed command of the strategically significant Andaman and Nicobar Command. The 17th Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN) is Air Marshal Balakrishnan. He takes over for Lt Gen. Ajai Singh.
