Magic Mike’s Last Dance (2023)
On this sequel to 2015’s Magic Mike XXL, Channing Tatum strips for Steven Soderbergh for the very last time. This time around, Mike Lane (played by Channing Tatum) has fallen on hard times and decides to grab the chance to travel to London to fulfill a request for a wealthy woman (Salma Hayek), only to discover that she has other plans.
Creed III
In the 0.33 Creed movie, a Rocky spin-off, Michael B. Jordan makes his trademark directorial debut. He plays Apollo Creed, Rocky’s former foe who has now become a friend. Although we are unsure of how this chapter will end, Jonathan Majors appears to be Adonis’s opponent inside the ring, and Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad are returning as Adonis’s mother and female friend, respectively.
Scream 6
Shortly after Scream debuted in 2023, it was revealed that there may be a sequel that will focus on the characters who survived it. It was announced shortly after that—just one day, to be exact—that Hayden Panettiere could be returning to the series to reprise her role as Kirby Reed from Scream 6. Neve Campbell, the franchise’s super megastar, decided not to return after being paid less than she thought she was very well worth for the movie, therefore, unfortunately, this could also be the first chapter without her. Of course, we have no idea how the story will end, but we do know that it won’t feel the same without the.
Fast X
This is only the first part of the tenth chapter in the fastest-paced and most agitated franchise currently available. (Part two, which is expected to be the series’ last, will be released in 2024.) And although the narrative is now under wraps, we know that Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and the rest of the family are free to carry on as usual.
The Little Mermaid
This live-action adaptation of Disney’s fish-out-of-water classic features some inspired casting, including Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Awkwafina as Scuttle, and Javier Bardem as King Triton. Additionally, new songs were co-written with Lin-Manuel Miranda, and pop star Halle Bailey will don some fins to play Ariel.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
On this sequel to 2015’s Magic Mike XXL, Channing Tatum strips for Steven Soderbergh for the very last time. This time around, Mike Lane (played by Channing Tatum) has fallen on hard times and decides to grab the chance to travel to London to fulfill a request for a wealthy woman (Salma Hayek), only to discover that she has other plans.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
After Bumblebee, which is set in the 1980s, the Transformers saga takes another step back in time. In this installment, a couple of archaeologists accidentally become caught up in a three-way battle between different Transformer groups. With Peter Cullen reprising his role as the voice of Optimus Prime and actors like Ron Perlman, Anthony Ramos, and Dominique Fishback joining the cast, the film is loosely based on the Beast Wars storyline and will be directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II).
The Flash
If you hadn’t heard, multi-verses will be huge in 2023, and DC is attempting to capitalize on the trend with this movie. Like many of the films on this list, we don’t yet know much about the plot, but Michael Keaton’s casting as Bruce Wayne is either a great meta-trick or a big hint as to what we’ll see. There are rumors that the scenario may follow the “Flashpoint” comic book plotline, in which case expect some crossover antics.
